The AIM Triple A Club marked the holiday season with a rather late, but festive, Christmas dinner on January 30 at the East and West Rooms of the Manila Golf Club.  Hosted by 2025 winner Sid Consunji, the dinner brought together Triple A winners from the 90s to 2025.  Held in a warm, convivial setting, the evening celebrated not only the spirit of Christmas but also the shared legacy, achievements, and renewed momentum of one of the Institute’s most respected and prestigious alumni clubs.

The dinner opened with remarks from Triple A Club President Ed Limon, who warmly welcomed AIM President and Dean Dr. Jikyeong Kang and all who were present that night.  Host of the dinner, Sid Consunji, then formally introduced Jikyeong, who presented a decade-long review of AIM’s progress and achievements.  Among the highlights of Jikyeong’s presentation were the following: 1) an increase in degree programs from 3 to 15; 2) an increase in student enrollment from barely 200 to 1,450; 3) a historic high of more than a billion pesos in revenues in 2025, projected to further increase to PhP1.237 B in 2026; 4) donations of PhP1.246 B; and 5) non-stop campus renovations and facilities improvement.

One of the most significant outcomes of the evening was a unanimous decision to formally involve Triple A Club members in the selection process for future Triple A recipients.  The move was met with strong support across the room, reflecting a shared belief that the Club’s collective wisdom and values should play a central role in recognizing excellence.  Members viewed this decision as a meaningful step toward greater transparency, inclusivity, and ownership, reinforcing the idea that the honor of being a Triple A winner carries big responsibilities as well as recognition.

Looking ahead, Jikyeong also shared early plans to expand the footprint of AIM’s current building to increase capacity.  With growing program offerings and enrollment, the expansion is intended to provide additional space for caserooms and student activities.  While still in its early stages, the proposal generated lively discussion and enthusiasm, as the attendees saw it as a crucial investment in the Institute’s future and its ability to serve succeeding generations of the best and brightest students in the region.

In keeping with the theme of the dinner, the evening was not all business.  A lively exchange of gifts among attendees added a personal and joyful touch to the gathering.  Laughter and conversation flowed easily as the alumni reconnected with old friends, met new members, and shared stories spanning decades.  The mix of classes, from those who shaped the Institute’s early years to those who represent its more recent graduates, underscored the enduring bonds that define the alumni community.

Perhaps the most encouraging outcome of the dinner was the palpable sense of renewed excitement among Triple A Club members.  Many expressed strong interest in hosting future meetings and gatherings, not only to advance the Club’s initiatives but also to sustain the camaraderie of its members.  There was broad agreement that consistent engagement would help maintain momentum, deepen relationships, and ensure that the Club remains vibrant and relevant.

As the evening drew to a close, it was clear that the dinner had been more than a holiday celebration.  It reaffirmed shared accomplishments, clarified future directions, and rekindled enthusiasm for collective action.  By bringing together alumni across generations, the Triple A Club once again demonstrated the strength of its community and its readiness to support the Institute toward a stronger, more sustainable future.
