Forty years after graduating from our Masters of Business Management (MBM) program (1984-1986), a spirited group of 20 alumni reignited old bonds with their third overseas class trip—a breathtaking 10-day journey through Northern India. Building on the success of earlier adventures to Vancouver and Croatia, this reunion blended nostalgia, history, and culinary delights, proving that lifelong friendships only grow stronger with time. A journey of a life time.

The adventure kicked off in New Delhi, where we dove into the city’s vibrant chaos. From the majestic Red Fort , to the streets of chandni Chowk and the spectacular Jama Masjid and Humayun’s Tomb – we wandered ancient streets, sharing stories from our student days over excellent Indian cuisine at Have More in Pandara Road and Lota at the Crafts Museum .

Next, Agra delivered one of the world’s wonders: the Taj Mahal on a clear day on a fabulous late afternoon , its marble glowing ethereally—a moment of collective awe that sparked photos, laughter, and a few emotional toasts to absent classmates. Nearby, Fatehpur Sikri unveiled Mughal grandeur with its intricate palaces and mosques, offering a deep dive into India’s imperial past.

Wildlife enthusiasts thrived in Ranthambore National Park, where we did not see a tiger but yielded thrilling sightings amid lush jungles—Rajasthan’s “Golden Triangle” capped the trip with royal splendor. In Jaipur, we explored Amber Fort’s elephant rides and Hawa Mahal’s breezy architecture. Udaipur charmed with its lake palaces and boat rides on Lake Pichola, evoking romance straight out of a Bollywood epic. Finally, Jodhpur’s towering Mehrangarh Fort and blue-painted alleys provided epic sunsets and shopping sprees.

Beyond the sights, the real magic was reconnecting as friends and classmates.

This trip wasn’t just a vacation; it was a celebration of resilience, shared history, and the road ahead. Mark your calendars—planning for the next one starts now!
