We congratulate K.Y. Chow, MBM 1976, for his company’s citation by the US government’s Small Business Administration (SBA) as a success story for entrepreneurship. K.Y., a first-generation immigrant who made a successful career as a merchant banker in Hong Kong, outstandingly built GM Printing from a tiny 850 square feet commercial printing operation in NYC’s Chinatown to its current sprawling 35,000 square feet, high quality Minority Business Entity (MBE) in Maspeth, New York.
K.Y. credits his AIM training, specifically the Development of Enterprise subject under Prof. Roberto “Bobby” Lim, for the unprecedented success of his venture. His dynamic leadership and progressive business strategies are anchored on a simple philosophy: to provide the best products and services to his company’s clients.
GM Printing is a staunch advocate for Minority Business Entity and has been recognized by the Mayor’s office through its appointment as a mentor for the Minority and Women-Owned Business Entreprises (M/WBE) program. In addition, the city has publicly honored KY’s outstanding work with his posters plastered all over the subway system.
