On May 8, the Alumni Relations Office (ARO) proudly hosted another Alumni Hour session featuring former Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory “Greg” Domingo, MBM 1980. Currently, he sits on the Boards of SM Investments Corporation, BDO Private Bank, Inc., Oceana Gold Philippines, Inc., Alternergy Holdings Corporation, and Alsons/AWS Information Systems, Inc. The event provided an inspiring opportunity for students to engage and learn from the vast, high-level experience of an accomplished AIM alumnus.

The Alumni Hour aims to provide students with insight into the transformative journey that an AIM education can offer through the vicarious experiences of successful alumni. Sec. Domingo shared his early roles in the corporate world that led to his pivotal leadership in public service. He reflected on the importance of resilience and decisiveness in moments of uncertainty, and how the analytical rigor and leadership training he received at AIM helped him navigate complex challenges.
“AIM didn’t just teach me how to think strategically—it taught me how to lead with integrity. When you’re in a position where your decisions impact millions, it’s your values that must guide you.”

A key lesson from the talk was the importance of adaptability. Sec. Greg encouraged students to embrace and never waste new opportunities, particularly in today’s rapidly changing technological and economic landscape.

Sec. Greg also touched on the significance of purpose-driven leadership and the need for AIM graduates to contribute meaningfully to society.
The session concluded with a lively Q&A, where students asked questions about leadership, ethics, and career development.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Sec. Greg Domingo for his generosity in sharing his precious time, insights, and career journey with the students.
