The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Erramon I. Aboitiz as the new Chairman of the Institute’s Board of Trustees, succeeding Mr. Peter D. Garrucho, Jr. Dr. Aboitiz brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise that will undoubtedly contribute to AIM’s continued success.
AIM also welcomes the appointment of Mr. Eugene Acevedo, MBM 87, as the Vice Chairman, further strengthening the leadership team of the Institute.
AIM is excited to introduce two new members of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Jose Teodoro “TG” K. Limcaoco, President and CEO of the Bank of the Philippine Islands, and Mr. Carmelo Maria L. Bautista, MBM 81, President and Director of GT Capital. Messrs. Limcaoco and Bautista bring wisdom and perspective that align with AIM’s commitment to excellence in education and leadership development. They will each serve an initial three-year term.
Outgoing Trustees Mr. Isidro “Sid” A. Consunji and Ms. Ma. Alexandra “Sandy” Prieto-Romualdez provided invaluable contributions to AIM during their consecutive three-year terms. Their dedication and insights have helped shape the direction of the institute, especially during the difficult time of the pandemic.
Mr. Peter D. Garrucho, Jr., former Chairman of the Board, deserves a special note of appreciation. Serving as the Lopez family’s representative since 2011 and subsequently as Chairman from 2017, Mr. Garrucho has steered AIM with exemplary leadership and vision. His two terms as Chairman were characterized by transformative growth and innovation. He concluded his chairmanship on September 1, 2023.
AIM is grateful to its outgoing board members and Chairman for their unwavering commitment to advancing management excellence in Asia and beyond. The Institute looks forward to its continued growth and success under the leadership of Dr. Aboitiz.
