The lead host class of MBM 2000, headed by Homecoming Chairman Raffy David, together with the Alumni Relations Office and Alumni Association of AIM, started off the Homecoming festivities with a fund-raising dinner at Kazunori Japanese Restaurant in Makati City last October 14, 2019.

The restaurant was closed off to the public for the evening, to cater exclusively to AIM alumni and their guests.  A special menu was on offer, an all sushi 16-course dinner at the Sushi bar and an off-menu 14-course dinner at the main and café dining.

A couple of Alumni Association board of directors were present that evening, led by chairperson Coratec Jimenez and member Frechie Nieva.  MBM 1970, the first ever batch to graduate from the Institute and the first to celebrate their golden jubilee on grand homecoming night, was ably represented by class president Rene Sunico, together with Victor Lim, Eboy Cosme and Emmanuel Deles.

CATCHING UP WITH PROFESSORS

Not only did the attendees tremendously enjoyed the food, they also relished the chance to catch up with their batchmates and their guest professors. Members of MBM 1980 invited Prof. Benjamin Palma-Gil as their guest of honor while MBM 2000 invited two of their professors, Prof. Jun ‘Junbo’ Borromeo and Prof. Richard Cruz.

It was apparent that everyone enjoyed the night of fun, food and the festive mood.

On behalf of the lead host class of 2000, we would like to thank everyone who attended and showed their support for the first event leading up to Homecoming 2020.
