The Asian Institute of Management announces with deep sorrow the passing of Professor Emeritus and former Dean Francisco “Jun” P. Bernardo, Jr.

Dean Bernardo, Jr. was a well-loved and highly esteemed professor whose teaching career at AIM spanned more than 50 years.  His field of expertise included Operations Management, Strategic Planning, Logistics Planning, Project Management, and Executive Development Training.

A mechanical engineer by training, Dean Bernardo, Jr.’s preferred subject to teach was Operations Management, particularly in the MBA program.  He was well known as an exacting professor, always expecting to draw deep insights and impart enduring lessons to his students.  As a testament to his brilliance, anyone who ever took his subject not only became better at managing but, more importantly, at managing with a purpose.
