The Asian Institute of Management congratulates Lisset Laus-Velasco, MBM 2000, and Francisco “Paco” Magsaysay, ME 2008, for winning the 2022 Woman Entrepreneur and Small Business Entrepreneur awards respectively.
Lisset is the Chairman and CEO of Global Cars Philippines, Inc., one of the country’s largest and most extensive multi-brand car dealerships. She has successfully grown the organization from strength to strength, introducing the concept of family governance for joint decision-making based on shared values and vision among the members of the family.
Paco is the creator of Carmen’s Best Ice Cream, a home-grown premium ice cream brand named after his only daughter. Carmen’s Best flavors were mostly inspired by Paco’s travels around the world. A certified ice cream lover, he always made it a point to try the available ice cream flavors in every country he visited. And he is proud to say that Carmen’s Best is right up there with the best the world has to offer.
