MANILA, Philippines — From serving one of the country’s most prominent professional services firms, Rossana Fajardo, country managing partner at SGV & Co., now takes on a new role as a member of the three-man Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).

The ICI is an independent commission that will look into the country’s anomalous flood control projects.

According to Palace press officer Claire Castro, Fajardo is a certified public accountant with over three decades of experience in auditing, internal controls, and risk management, “especially in identifying weaknesses in financial systems and operational processes.”

“She has worked across both public and private sectors to help organizations deflect fraud, strengthen governance, and build more accountable institutions,” Castro said in a press briefing on Saturday.

“Her technical insight and financial acumen are critical in following the trail of public funds and determining where leakages and irregularities may have occurred,” she added.

Before her appointment, Fajardo served as SGV & Co.’s country managing partner since July this year. She also served as SGV Consulting Leader and EY Asean Business Consulting Leader.

Reports showed that she completed the Ernst & Young Kellogg Account Leadership Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, in 2012 and the London Business School Account Leader Program in 2018. She also finished the eMBA Program of the Asian Institute of Management in 2001 as an SGV scholar.

She earned her degree in accounting from the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City, where she graduated cum laude.
