The Alumni Relations Office (ARO) hosted this year’s first Beer Pub for the International Master in Business Administration (iMBA) 2023 and Master in Entrepreneurship (ME) 2023 and 2024 cohorts on May 26, 2023.  It was an occasion to allow the students to deepen their friendships, strengthen their networks, and celebrate the end of another grueling term.

Everyone gathered by the poolside, where a sumptuous spread was prepared, while an endless supply of cocktail drinks from the Tanduay bar kept the students hydrated and refreshed.

ME 2022 alumni took part in the festivities, networking with the students and regaling them with their stories and experiences during their time as students, which, unfortunately, was punctuated by the pandemic that resulted in the cohort taking mostly online classes.  Nevertheless, they found creative ways to bond as a class and even took on social projects to support to select schools to improve their classroom facilities.  They also offered practical advice to the current cohorts with regard to their capstones and other program requirements.

ARO officers Jaika Santos and Abby Ramos, as well as ARO EMD Bernie Jiao, were on hand to mingle with the students and make sure the event went without a hitch.

ARO would like to thank Rex Zhang, iMBA 2023, for taking on the responsibility to organize and gather the cohorts for the Beer Pub.  Special thanks to AIM alumnus Paul Lim, EMBA 2017, and SVP for Sales and Marketing, for Tanduay Distillers, Inc.’s continuing sponsorship of the Beer Pub and of other AIM institutional events.  Thank you, too, to all the students and alumni for their active participation and for making sure the event was one to remember.

Here’s a parting quip from Carlos Felipe, iMBA 2023:

“Thank you, Alumni Relations Office (ARO), for organizing our Beer Pub event! It was a fantastic evening filled with great drinks courtesy of Tanduay Distillers, Inc. and a lively ambiance and enjoyable company with our colleagues from the Master in Entrepreneurship (ME) Program ’23 and ’24. The event provided a memorable experience for all, especially for my cohort and myself. We look forward to future events organized by ARO!”

See you at the next Beer Pub!
