On August 17, 2022, Kelab AIM Malaysia celebrated its 46th Anniversary. Looking back at its history, an active group of alumni led by the late Dato’ Dr. Johari Hassan, MBM 1973, worked hard in getting grant registration from Malaysia’s Registrar of Societies back in 1976. Kelab AIM Malaysia was known then as the Asian Institute of Management Graduates Association of Malaysia (AIMGAM).
A prominent member of Kelab AIM Malaysia and 2021 Triple A winner, Haji Zulkifly Baharom, MM 1989, shared in his Facebook post:
“I’m happy that throughout its 46 years of existence, the primary objective of AIMGAM and Kelab AIM, as it is known now, has always been “to enhance the learning acquired at AIM and to strengthen cohesiveness through alumni networking.”
The current president of Kelab AIM is Dato’ Pahamin A. Rajab, MDP 1975, leading over 4,000 Malaysian alumni members from various industries and organizations.
To commemorate the very special occasion, Kelab AIM, in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Malaysian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship and Business and Kings College, will be organizing a forum on 25 August 2022 in Kuala Lumpur. This event is also meant to celebrate Malaysia’s Independence Day, which falls on 31 August 2022, with the theme “Stronger Together.”
