Transformation Isn’t About Systems—It’s About People

by Alumni Relations Office

Over the years, I’ve witnessed many transformation initiatives, some succeeded, others didn’t. Looking back, the difference often had less to do with strategy or systems and more to do with people.

I’ve learned that transformation isn’t a race to fix what’s broken; it’s a journey of helping people move from old habits to new possibilities. 🌟

As my mentor once told me when he introduced me to John Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model, real change only happens when people see themselves in the vision, not just as followers, but as co-owners of it. 💪🏻

I often describe transformation like a game of Jenga: every move matters. Shift one piece too early, ignore the weak ones underneath, and the whole structure collapses, even those that once felt stable.

True transformation takes patience, empathy, and timing. Because in the end, it’s not the framework that changes the organization- it’s the people who believe in it. 💙

What do you think?
